The 2008 Assembly reaffirmed the policy of opening the Coalition's regional group meetings up to all local advocacy groups rather than to just those that provide citizen advocacy as either their main activity or as one of a range of activities. Any advocacy organisation that is connected to and directed by the communities in which it works and that works to a vision of holistic and collaborative approach to all forms of advocacy is now welcome to attend.

A section of the meetings will remain focussed on the specific issues that relate to informal volunteer advocacy, but the priority at the moment is the survival of locally based advocacy organisations. For this reason we will be working in partnership with the Advocacy Resource Exchange (ARX) and colleagues in other networks to expand the membership of our 7 regional groups.
