Why Coalition?

The word 'Coalition' was chosen to reflect the reality of citizen/volunteer advocacy today, and the diversity of schemes that match partnerships. The Coalition is not about uniformity, but rather about protecting the independence and ownership of citizen/volunteer advocacy. Our membership is a healthy mix of groups that match citizen/volunteer advocacy partnerships as their main activity and those that include it as one of a range of activities.
